Sunday Brunch Episode 1: Cathay Pacific Business Class HKG – IAD

Kevy and I had the opportunity to be this special flight. What’s so special about it? It was a Cathay Pacific inaugural flight and destination. It’s a non-stop service from Hong Kong (HKG) to Washington Dulles (IAD) on Airbus A350-1000 XWB.

Episode: 1
Airline: Cathay Pacific
Route: Hong Kong (HKG) – Washington Dulles (IAD)
Cabin: Business Class
Meal Service: Dinner, Snack, Breakfast

Cathay also introduced the new dine-on-demand service. I love the concept, and I think the food quality was good. However, the service pace was very slow. To be fair, it was one of the first implementations, so the crews needed some time to get used to the new meal service execution.

  1. I think Cathay’s catering a little behind from their competitors. I don’t think it’s bad, but it could be more competitive. But I’d take Cathay flight any day over AA! 😁
