About a year ago, I had the opportunity to visit Colombo, Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is such a beautiful and country. The people are so welcoming and kind.
After looking at several options, I decided to book a hotel room at OZO Colombo. Situated 38 kilometers south of the airport on the west coast, this hotel was a great choice. The nightly rate was around $79, including breakfast.
One thing I’d like to point out is that the staff was very accommodating. My flight arrived at 5am, and I got to the hotel 30 minutes after. Without hesitation, the front desk let me check-in my room early. It was much needed and truly appreciated.
After a long, fun day exploring the city and rested for the night, I woke up early and headed to the restaurant for breakfast.

Thoughts
Honestly, I don’t think I’ve never had Sri Lankan cuisine before my visit. It was delicious! There are many spices in the dishes without being overpowered. The taste is not distinctly pungent, but rather fresh and tangy. In fact, some of the flavors and ingredients remind me of food from home. The perfect morning view from my dining table was icing on the cake. I highly recommend the hotel.
