Crowne Plaza Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

My Alaska flight arrived in Los Angeles around 8 PM, and I was a bit hungry, so I thought I checked out the Priority Pass restaurant at Terminal 6, Point The Way Cafe. After dinner, I headed to the curbside at the departure (upper) level, where the hotel shuttle pick-up zone is. The hotel website says the shuttle runs every 20 minutes. In reality, it took longer than that.

In this series:

At the hotel, check-in was a breeze. When bidding through Priceline, they typically assign the room type at check-in. In this case,  I got a double queen bed.

The room is reasonably spacious, though it’s a bit dated.

The bathroom is also spacious.

Basic amenities such as shampoo, bar soap, conditioner, and lotion were provided.

I requested a wake-up call at 5:30 AM at check-in. But for some reason, I never received any call. Fortunately, I always set up an alarm on my own as a backup — I was awake by then. That said, I can see it could be a major issue for some people.

After a shower and packed, I headed downstairs to check out and print out my itineraries at the business center. I took the shuttle back to Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX since I wanted to review Qantas First Lounge at LAX.

For $120 after-tax, it was a decent rate. A minor issue I encountered was the non-functioning wake-up call, which could be catastrophic for some. As I said, for the price, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, especially for a short layover.
