After spending a short night at Crowne Plaza Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), I headed to the airport early to review the Qantas First Lounge at Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT). With my current Executive Platinum status (Oneworld Emerald), I have access to most first-class lounges that are part of Oneworld alliance when flying Oneworld carriers regardless of the ticketed cabin.

Qantas First Lounge (LAX)
Checking in was a breeze; the agent admitted me after scanning my boarding pass within seconds. The lounge feels spacious, with plenty of sitting areas.
The main area consists of chairs and coffee tables with different color accents.

The main area is divided into sections, indicated with different colors, mainly red, white, and black.
Qantas First Lounge (LAX) – Sitting Area
On the left side, there is more sitting area with sofas and lounge chairs. Unfortunately, there is no view other than the big glass windows facing the exterior wall.

The dining area is located towards the back of the lounge. There are a few dozens of dining tables and chairs.

There is also some sitting area at the bar.
Qantas First Lounge (LAX) – Dining Area and Bar
The bar area looks impressive. Even though I’m not a heavy drinker, I can appreciate the fact that customer has options when it comes to alcoholic beverages.
Qantas First Lounge (LAX) – Bar
The waiter welcomed me and asked if I cared to join for breakfast that morning — I said yes. When it comes to breakfast, I like something savory. The menu looks similar to other Qantas First Lounges. I decided to order the Big Breakfast with two poached eggs.

A few minutes later, the waiter came back with my mimosa and sparkling water. I also ordered a cup of cappuccino – double shot.
Qantas First Lounge (LAX) – Beverages
Shortly after, my breakfast arrived. The presentation was nothing special, though it was a good breakfast with lots of protein.
Qantas First Lounge (LAX) – Breakfast
After I finished my breakfast, I decided to pack and head to the American Airlines Flagship Lounge at Terminal 4, which is also where my flight will depart.
Conclusion
Qantas First Lounge at LAX is arguably the best lounge in North America. I didn’t try their all-day meal selections due to my early arrival. The sitting area is spacious and modern. Unfortunately, it lacks views, unlike the Qantas First Lounge in Sydney.
The breakfast was good, but nothing memorable. Sometimes I feel like an a la carte dining is just a novelty than anything else. Up to this point, I have not visited American Airlines Flagship Dining — I heard a lot of positive reviews about it. I can’t wait to try the dining experience there next month when I fly American Airlines Flagship First Class from Hong Kong to Dallas and see how they compare.
No doubt, if I fly out of LAX, this would be my go-to lounge.
