Sunday Brunch Episode 25: Family Dinner At Vyronos Politeia, Vyronas, Greece

It’s been a year since my friend Aaron and I traveled halfway around the world. The main intention was to take the Turkish Airlines Boeing 787-9 Inaugural Flight to Bali. Business Class fares are typically expensive in most markets, except for Cairo, usually. That’s why we had to take positioning flights.

On the plus side, we got to stop in a few places along the way. After some planning we had, we decided to visit Aaron’s relatives in Greece.

It was a real pleasure for me to meet them. Aaron’s cousin and her family were so lovely and hospitable. During our short visit, they graciously took us around the city and invited us for a beautiful summer evening dinner at Vyronos Politeia.

The restaurant was cozy and beautiful. There was a bar in the courtyard and plenty of outdoor dining areas.

I can’t think of any food that I don’t like — I feel blessed in many ways. Since the menu was in Greek, I’d let the host order whatever they recommended.

It was a feast! I had to say everything was delicious! I’m not a picky eater, so I make a great travel companion, especially when visiting exotic places. 😉

Thoughts

I had a wonderful warm summer evening with a lovely company. I couldn’t ask for a better stopover. The restaurant had a great atmosphere that resembles an ancient Greek village in the countryside — I love the rooftop and outdoor sitting area. More importantly, the food was yummy!

I do miss having a normal life.
